Mississauga household in running for Canadian Family’s Got Skill contest

A Mississauga artist and his family are hoping to proceed to the finals of the Canadian Family's Got Skill contest, a Breakfast Television effort in collaboration with America's Got Skill, presented by Canadian Tire.

Jake Robertson recently performed a quarantine-themed cover of Justin Bieber’s “Changes” and members of his family took part in the video too.

Robertson, a 24-year-old also known as J8ke Robertson, began playing music and singing when he was 7. He has likewise toured individually worldwide with atrioventricular bundle, Cardinal Chase. He recently launched his very first solo mix tape and wrote and produced every song on the album.

Through the contest, households were encouraged to submit videos through Breakfast Tv’s site.

There are 9 semifinalists intending to move on as one of 3 finalists. Robertson and other semifinalists have been included on Breakfast Tv broadcasts throughout the month of May.

Canadians can elect their favourite semifinalists online from Thursday, May 14 to Tuesday, May 19. The winner will be crowned live on Breakfast Tv by America’s Got Talent judge Simon Cowell on Tuesday, May 26.

The winning household will get a mix of cash and Canadian Tire products worth $5,000.
